Sacrifice is such a weirdly wrong concept. I’ll give up something valuable, in return for something that is perceived to be more valuable, than what I give up. Within thick concrete walls with small cutouts that we call windows, we think of ourselves as expert appraisers of the perceived value of things. Sacrifice is a subtractive/additive concept, with a slight value add. It’s so much better to ask for something without giving anything in return.
There’s much that this world has to give, without wanting something in return. But we have heard this before. The question really is, who is this world? How is it giving? What do we need to do to ask of what it’s giving? But in asking these questions, we forget to ask what it has to give.
So, just ask.
At this time, a thousand such requests are in play.
And one such, is mine; I hope the intensity of my intention makes the world give what’s needed so that the world will be a beautiful place.
