Each festival carries with it a significance about the ethics and philosophy of life. In Indian tradition, these are often clouded by mythology and misinterpretation.
Notwithstanding all that we know (and do not), let this time and festival be the one where the light shines right through. Light, only as a metaphor for understanding, awareness and acknowledgement of who we are and what we are really supposed to do.
May you hear your inner voice above the din of this festival. May you see your calling beyond the psychedelic flashing of the festival. May this festival be more than just exchanging boxes of sweets — may it be true gratitude to the people you share that sweetness with.
May you, most of all, choose to prosper beginning on this day that signifies prosperity. To all of you, my family’s and my best wishes and prayers for your continuous well-being and happiness. Take care.
