Size Does Matter
My first response was “HAHAHEEHHOHOHO”, or something of that kind when I read this. Then I thought about it. Size does matter. Appearances do too. But it is not as much a fault of what we see, as much as what we believe, and what we have garnered over generations.
All the Jadhavs, Shindes, Bhonsales, Malusares, and Patils of the Mumbai police force have to learn something inherent – something in their genes. Never were the Marathas known for their prowess in F2F combat – they always used guerrilla techniques.
Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it (includes those of us who forgot history in the VII Standard). In a world that generalises every other thing and in between, we forget who we were. Why we survived and why we won and why we lost.
NYPD blue and CSI is not the way we solve crimes in dear old Mumbai. We use a more natural, humane approach? 
I don’t know about natural and humane.Sounds to me like a case of uneducated,biased,and a gullible lot our police men.
Just ‘my’ opinion.
Perceptions can be misleading. But most folks are too scared to take the first and break a well “carried over myth”. I am not very surprised. And true, every country has its own system or methods that it adopts while carrying out an operation. CSI may look good on a film strip, but I am sure there is a more gory side …not just smart curvacious women and some amart alec making his investigations!
At the end of the day, we want to see reuslts, not some bunch of cops huddled in a corner!
